Nuria was born in 1982 in Barcelona, and after that she was born many times and she died many times – every time, when someone hurt her. Therefore, we observe her on the stage in four incarnations, at four different life stages. However, in the center of her world remains a man and a relationship – increasingly toxic and burning out. Extreme emotions – fear, anger, fury – come from lies and broken promises. When there is no more chance to rescue the relationship in comes the self-destruction.
Thanks to multiplication – four women suffer, struggle, give up – story tells about every struggling, suffering and giving up woman.
The performance was also a protest against capitalistic rules, which change everything into a product, and leave no more place for intimacy – only physical acts and an incessantly molested body. Pregnancy becomes a part of a cruel game. Woman without a contact with her body loses her instinct and sink into a river of loneliness.
The spectacle was also a voice against rules created by man. We, women, disagree to be “fancy girls”. We want to make love and be in love. We don’t want to hide our true feelings and needs.
That is why Nuria hasn’t stop dreaming. Every year at her birthday she whispers her wishes and blows off the candle. Maybe one day she would be ready to cry out her dreams and fears.
