FUNNY GAMES

People carry within them dreams, fears, and memories—both good and bad. In this performance, which concluded a six-month workshop, the characters confront questions about how these inner experiences shape their relationships: Will they allow this mixture to cast shadows, or will they give their connections a genuine chance? Will they dare to open up, reveal themselves, and experience closeness?

The characters step hesitantly into encounters with others, navigating the delicate balance between authenticity and façade. They test intentions, establish boundaries, and explore the limits of both themselves and those around them in the search for identity. Although we are adults, life is still full of games and play: moments to protect ourselves, or perhaps to gain something valuable.

The performers embody everyone: you, me, your neighbor, my friend, someone close, someone who once was, someone dearly missed, or someone who taught us something and then left forever. Through these encounters, the performance reflects the ongoing dance of human connection, vulnerability, and self-discovery.
